A romantic Canadian log home, double storey and thatched, Forget-me-not Sedgefield has 3 sunny bedrooms, all with views of the sand dunes. The house is set in a private and tranquil area, surrounded by nature and rich in bird life. With only a five minute stroll to the beach you can leave the car behind! The beach is long and often empty, great for long walks and fishing. A life guard is on duty in high season at Myoli beach.

Accommodation

The first double bedroom is on the ground floor, which is fitted with a queen-size bed and full en-suite bathroom, shower and bath. There is an additional guest toilet on the ground floor. Views from this bedroom are over the swimming pool and out into the dunes. Also on the ground floor are a spacious open plan kitchen, scullery, and comfortable lounge / dining room. The dining table seats six comfortably and the breakfast bar an extra four.

The lounge has sliding doors onto the large wooden deck area, swimming pool and wooden tables and chairs. A further table and chairs are under the thatched lapa on a higher spot in the garden and the views of the sunset and mountains are beautiful. There are also deck chairs for your leisure.

The family room (TV room with two extra single beds) is on the first floor as are bedroom number 2 and 3. All these rooms have single beds and share a large bathroom upstairs complete with shower and bath. The house is well equipped for 6-8. Forget-me-not is perfect for a private holiday with immediate family, a honeymoon or larger family get-togethers.

Attractions and Activities

The nearby village has everything you will need during your holiday. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, gift stores, chemists, doctor and dentist, and the private hospital is in Knysna 23km west. There is also a Spar supermarket in the village, who bake bread, cakes and cook meals every day. A wide range of locally produced goods are available every Saturday morning at Sedgefield Market from our own farmers and crafters.

• Jubilee Creek - a beautiful indigenous forest with wonderful swimming holes and a valley stream
• Beach walks - between Kleinkrans and Gerickes. From Swartvlei Beach to Gerickes and back. From Cola beach to Platbank. From Myoli easterly towards Cola Beach and further. Our beaches are mostly unspoilt and lovely to enjoy. Relax in the fresh sea air.
• We have some of the top golf courses in the country.
• Knysna is only 20 km east of Sedgefield where you can feed and ride elephants, take a boat on the lagoon, browse the arty shops and stalls and much more if you have the time and energy.
