Upon entering the gates of Bamboo, the Guesthouse one steps into a verdant, forested oasis that regenerates and rejuvenates the soul. Well known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Bamboo offers visitors a tranquil haven just minutes from Knysna’s town centre, the Waterfront, Thesen Island, Leisure Isle and the iconic Knysna Heads. Our 15 en suite rooms, individually styled and beautifully decorated, are accessed via wooden walkways that meander through our gardens. Sumptuous breakfasts are served daily on our dining deck overlooking our very own patch of Knysna forest.

ACCOMMODATION

• Two Courtyard Rooms offer twin or double bedded options with attached private courtyards
• Two Garden Rooms contain queen beds with attached private terraces or decks
• One Poolside Garden Room is queen bedded with adjacent private swimming pool
• One Forest Cabin offers twin or king bedded options plus a sleeper couch. This rustic style cabin with fireplace is set deep in the forest
• One Loft Room offers twin or king bedded accommodation in a large treetop room with a small sitting room
• Two Family Rooms cater for families of four and are larger garden rooms with private terraces or courtyards
• Two Family suites each sleep four and comprise two bedrooms with a shared bathroom
• One Poolside Family suite sleeps five and consists of two inter leading en suite rooms at the poolside
• One Honeymoon cottage is king bedded with a bay window sitting area, fire place and a full bathroom
• One honeymoon suite is an apartment style treetop suite with an enormous bedroom with fireplace, sitting room and full bathroom with a roll top bath.

All rooms contain ceiling fans, wall heaters, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, radio/alarm iPod dock, bar fridge, mini safe and flat screen TV.

As your hosts we are always available to share our local knowledge of the Garden Route with its multitude of activities for the holidaymaker, and to arrange bookings for excursions and restaurants. For the more adventurous and active guest we co-ordinate and provide eco-adventure outings and activities including forest cycling, individualised lagoon and ocean sunset cruises, guided walks, abseiling, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling, Bungy jumping and many more. Three fabulous golf courses (Knysna, Pezula and Simola) are just a short drive from Bamboo.
