Saffron house is located on one of South Africa's most exclusive destinations, Thesen Island, on the Knysna Lagoon, in the Western Cape Garden Route. Saffron House was recently rated a top-of-the-range 4 Star establishment with competitive 3 Star rates.

Thesen Island is an island located inside the lagoon with only one road leading in with boomed access. Access is only available to residents and guests of residents. The island has private beaches, bird parks, a small putting green golf course, cycle tracks, walking paths, a large children's park, direct lagoon access with canals, launch sites for boats, and direct walking access within 5 minutes to exclusive restaurants. The island is within 20 minutes walking access of the Knysna Waterfront.

Accommodation

The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen, scullery, single garage and patio directly over the Knysna Lagoon. The property is fully walled with a private garden. Use of a two man canoe is also included. Guests can bring a boat and moor at the house. The house comfortably sleeps 8 people with 2 per bedroom, has luxury finishes throughout and is fully serviced on a daily basis.

In an idyllic setting, it is the perfect home away from home with all amenities and appliances provided for, you will not want for anything.

Open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge (Separate scullery). The lounge leads on to a veranda directly over the lagoon. Fishing off the veranda is possible! The private jetty is next to the veranda. Power boats of up to 7 m length can be moored on the jetty.
